# Components:
→ Pie
01 - 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
02 - 1 1/2 cups water
03 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
04 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
05 - 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - Pinch of salt
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and crimp edges if desired.
02 - Pour 1 1/2 cups water directly into the pie crust.
03 - In a mixing bowl, stir together granulated sugar and all-purpose flour until uniformly mixed. Sprinkle evenly over the water in the crust.
04 - Drizzle vanilla extract over the filling and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Slice unsalted butter into thin pieces and distribute evenly across the surface.
05 - Transfer pie to the lower rack of the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 400°F.
06 - Lower oven temperature to 375°F and bake for an additional 20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the filling maintains a slight jiggle in the center.
07 - Remove pie from the oven and let cool completely to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing for optimal texture.
